Connemara Cask Strength

Connemara was first introduced by Cooley Distillery around Christmas 1995 and received double Gold at both, the 1996 International Spirits Challenge and the International Wine and Spirit Competition in the same year.

The Cask strength variant, this one being bottled at 60.1 per cent abv, was introduced in October 1996.

Connemara is a Peated Single Malt Whiskey, and does not contain any Pure Pot Still as the label suggests. The phenol level is at about 15 parts per million, compared to 35 ppm used in Laphroaig and 50 ppm in Lagavulin.

Connemara Cask Strength is sold in Speciality Stores throughout Europe and in the Company Outlet Store inside the Distillery Museum in Kilbeggan.
